"Just a note to say thank you. I am 39 yr old, and have a degenerative eye condition. I was given the Nighthunter XP 10x50 as a gift last Christmas. These binoculars have allowed me to enjoy hunting and being in the outdoors again. The self focusing part of the binoculars is an amazing thing. My eye condition(RP) cannot be fixed or helped with glasses but these binoculars make things very much crystal clear. I wonder why this concept could not be utilized in the optom world? Regardless, I want to say thank you from a simple guy who will never hunt in Africa, but is glad to be able to see things clearer at our little hunting lease in Texas. "I lost these binoculars on a hunting trip over 18 years ago when me and my mule slid off the side of the trail and ended up 100ft down the ravine. After a helicopter evacuation and a week in the hospital (the mule was only at the vet 3 days), I was back on the hillside and found everything but the binoculars. I've been in that spot a dozen times over the years and no sign of them. Last month I was on the opposite hillside watching the dogs work a track when I saw a reflection from the inside of a cedar tree. I couldn't resist and hiked over there and wedged in a tree were my Steiner glasses. I cleaned them off and here they are." (The binoculars required only minor external maintenance)
